Aintree - 14th May 2004 |
| Peter appeared at the Aintree Racecourse on Friday 14th May as part of their Ladies Night race meeting. After racing had ended Peter was due to give a live performance, his first for a long time. | |
Peter performed in front of a crowd of approximately 10,000 race goers, who attended the Ladies Night Race Meeting. I have been told that his performance was excellent and he was warmly welcomed by the Liverpool crowd. He had two dancers with him and they were on stage in front of the grandstands for approximately twenty minutes.He did a set of four songs, opening with his number one song 'Mysterious Girl'. He then performed two from his new album, 'The Long Road Back', which is out on Monday 7th June.They were a cover of Kool & The Gangs old hit, 'Ooh La La La (Let's Go Dancing)' and a ballard, which I was not informed of the title of, but I am guessing was probably the fantastic 'All Cried Out'. He then closed the set with his current release 'Insania'. |

He was wearing jeans and a shirt - which apparently had a lot of the buttons undone! It is nice to hear that the crowd welcomed him and his performance was highly rated. |
