There was a good turn out for Peter who was welcomed by screaming fans. 630 people queued up and waited for their signed copies of Peter's new album. A big thankyou to Daniel for the photos below and to The Woolworth's Group for the signing.

Woolworths Album Signing - The Galleries, Bristol 10th June 2004

There was a great atmosphere at the signing, only slightly marred by some teenage boys who queued up only to cause trouble. They threw eggs and were led away by the police. Luckily they missed Peter, although one did hit a photographer.

Peter didn't let the incident spoil the day and happily signed autographs for all his fans. 1400 people were there to see Peter.

An egg was thrown at Peter, but luckily was thrown far too high.

It was about 1.30pm when my friend Julie and I arrived outside Woolworths in the Galleries in Bristol on June 10th, 2004, and although Pete wasn't due until 5pm we got in the already forming queue to wait.
Totally unable to speak for the whole time we waited patiently, I was so nervous, so long I had waited for the chance to meet Pete, being an original Pete fan from back in the day I thought this would never happen.

When Pete finally arrived around 5.05pm we walked through the store to the corner where the table was set up. As he walked past I froze, totally speechless. My friend Julie squeezed my hand and I smiled excitedly at her. In what seemed like no time at all it was our turn, i walked up to the table and handed Pete my cover of his album. He smiled sweetly and asked how i was. I said i was fine and asked him to sign his autograph to me, which he did :) I then asked for a cuddle, and he looked at me with those gorgeous eyes and opened his arms, I cuddled him tight, and my heart was beating so hard I thought it was gonna jump out of my mouth onto Pete's shoulder...now that would have been embarrassing.

I then told him that I had waited for so long for that moment and i had loved him since i was eight years old, (I'm 21 now). He then pulled away from the cuddle and touched my face lightly with his gorgeous hand and said "Thank you so much my darling" and my legs turned to complete jelly.

I made him promise he would never go away again, and then my time was over.

I walked out of the store in a complete daze and sat on the floor outside, i was physically shaking. I was so happy.

Thank you Pete for providing so many of my happiest moments. I love you forever. Love Laura x x x x
