Since 7th September when his autobiography, ALL ABOUT US, came out Peter has been travelling up and down the country on a book signing tour. He has visited many towns and met as many fans as possible.

I went along to several of the signings and took photos of fans meeting Peter and some of them are included on this page, along with some fans comments about the book, and a write up from Hilary of her experience at Slough.

I arrived in Slough at around 11.30am. I then made my way into Queensmere Shopping Centre and went to look for Ottakar’s Bookshop where Pete would be doing his signing. On finding the shop, I noticed a sign was outside advertising his signing. I walked in and could see a desk had been set up at the back of the shop. At this stage I could not see anyone queuing so I decided to go back out into the shopping centre. I found a seat, which gave me a clear view of the shop, which was good as I could then see how many people were going in! I decided to text Debs, who advised me to go in and have a coffee as Costa Coffee was positioned at the back of the shop and very close to where Pete would be signing. I did go in and to my surprise found a few people queuing. The time was now around 12.15pm, so only forty-five minutes until I would see Pete!

His first duty was the local Press who had their cameras waiting to get their best shot! After these formalities Pete was then introduced to Jane from Big Brother, who lives in Slough.

The time at long last, had arrived for me to go to the desk and get my book signed. On seeing me, Pete said, 'Hello, how are you?' and got up to give me a kiss. I wanted to reply, 'I am just a nervous wreck and you have this effect on me every time!' I took a photo of Pete, but unfortunately did not get one with him. The staff were eager to get everybody through, as Pete had another signing in Oxford later and already they were running late.

As I moved away from the table, I then spotted Michael (Pete’s brother to those that do not know) who was chatting away to Gary Cockerill. Looking back I feel bad, as I did not introduce myself and just seemed to barge in on their conversation! (Sorry guys!)  Whilst talking to Michael, my phone rang and it was Debs (to those that do not know, she is the lady that runs this website and is now a very good friend of mine). Michael took my phone and spoke to Debs for some time.

I continued to watch Pete do his signing and at one point an elderly couple came forward and spoke to Nicola. Pete then stood up from the desk and greeted the elderly lady with a large hug and kiss. He then said, 'This lady makes the best roast dinner!' I was puzzled as to who they were, but eventually found out that they were Gillian Wong’s grand parents.

All too soon the signing was over and it was time for Pete to leave. But as they went through the door, Michael turned round and waved goodbye to me and shouted 'Tell Debs I will see her tomorrow at Lakeside.'

The signing had been a success and it was great to meet with Michael Andre for the first time. If it is possible, I love and respect you more than ever now Pete, for your complete honesty and caring ways, which you have shown us through your book and through meeting your fans.

You once said 'Thank you for sharing a part of my soul.' well I am now really glad that I am sharing a part of your soul along with many others!
