| On the beach with Peter Andre! |
| |
When Peter Andre came to the beach party weekend at Cambridge Leisure, I went along to enjoy the 'sea-side' attractions and to interview the man himself...

Have you ever been to Cambridge before?
This is the first time I've actually been here, seems like a great city. |
| |
So have you had the opportunity to take a look around?
No, but when I was on stage I could see the cinema and bowling
alley, seems there's a lot to do. |
| |
There are actually a lot of young singers in the area hoping to achieve success similar to yours; do you have any advice for them?
There's a place in this industry for all young talent, so my advice would be to follow your dream and if you want it enough you'll get there in the end. |
| |
You've certainly managed to meet a lot of young fans today, do you enjoy that?
Yeah, especially if they've had to wait around in the rain like today, I know if I were planning to see somebody perform I wouldn't go if it were raining. It's good to see people make the effort! |
| |
So you enjoy touring?
I love it! I love being on stage and singing live, the best thing is I never have to mime. Some artists' record companies say they have to mime whereas I really appreciate singing live. |
| |
After your comeback with the re-release of ‘Mysterious Girl’ are there any other artists you'd like to see re-release previous hits?
I think it would have been great if Bros could have got together to do something, they were so good in their day, they should be given a shot at doing something new. |
| |
What can we expect to see from Peter Andre in the future then, any new singles?
I'm writing a lot of stuff. I just keep writing and writing! I'm doing a lot of TV, theatre; I've got my hand in a lot of pies. Of course I'm a new Dad as well so that keeps me very busy. |
| |
So as we're in this beautiful beach setting I thought I'd end with a few 'desert island' questions...
Fire away! |
| |
You're ship wrecked on an island, you're lucky that the island is unique as it has a CD player. Which CD would you wish to take with you?
Bob Marley, his 'Legends' album really represents the beach, sunshine... |
| |
Which book would you want with you?
Maybe a John Grisham novel. Actually no it would have to be 'Being Jordan' of course! |
| |
What luxury item could you not live without?
My boxer shorts! Think about it, anything else you could live without, but those... |
| |
You'd be in a pretty sticky situation without them!
Yeah I would!!! How old are you...? |
| |
Anyway, moving swiftly on to my final question. What would I have to do to get you to sing something for me now?
Erm... |
