In bed with...Peter Andre. Danielle Hine and her NBF talk boobs, snogging blokes and er, horses in our fave interview EVER
Now, I must confess that I was never a Peter Andre fan - nope, not even when the guy had abs so hard you could crack your head open on them. But that was before I met him. Post interview, I can honestly say that Pete is one of the friendliest, lovliest celeb men I've ever met. And no, he's not finger-down-your-throat cheesy either - he has a very naughty glint in his eyes so it's quite clear he's more than a match for his beloved Katie. Even though there's an ITV2 crew filming our shoot for series 3 of their fly-on-the-wall reality show, Pete is totally at ease. In fact he's so laid back he doesn't even flinch when we ask him to slip into some pj's, 'comedy' slippers and thrust a romantic novel into his hands to pose with. But one thing does get him all het up...his wife. He quite literally fancies her arse off. So much so that I thought we'd have to dunk him in an ice-cold bath at one point...
So do you and the wife ever sit down with a curry and watch your own show?
Apart from being bloody gorgeous, she's incredibly clever and business-savvy, yet I love the fact she's so ditzy in other ways. Once I was telling her about colonic irrigation and she said, 'that's a load of shit.' (NW: I splutter with laughter) But that's not all, later on in the day we did an interview and she went 'oh Pete's been talking about this chronic irritation'. I was pissing myself!
What's the best thing about marriage?
I might get shot for this - but it's having kids. They are everything.
Be truthful - do people really stop shagging once they get hitched?
Too bloody right! (laughs) Nah, you don't stop, but it can go off in weird directions.
So how many times a week do you have sex?
In my mind? Constantly. At one stage - because of Katie's post-natal depression the workd sex didn't even exist. But now it's getting back to normal, we we have sex about two or three times a week. We have a lot to catch up on! When you don't have sex for a while you can become demotivated. And then when you get back into it, its like 'mmm' (raises his eyebrows and smiles)
Katie designs lingerie - does she ever model it for you?
Nah! But I wish she bloody would. All talk, my wife! But I have just watched her do the swimwear shoot for her line - WOW! (It'll be out this summer)
What type of saucy smalls get you frisky?
I hope I'm not looked on as a sicko - but I'd like to see her in a blindfold, and (whispers) I wouldn't mind some handcuffs. I want to be a dirty bastard and I want her to be a dirty, naughty girl! (Is literally overcome with lust. Puts cushion on his lap)
Whoa! Cold shower alert. Where's the weirdest place you have had sex?
In a stable. With a horse. Which was watching I might add. There was a fear element cos the horse could've got really angry. And kicked the shit out of us!
You're a seriously sexy couple - got any bedroom tips for us?
You know, I used to think I knew it all. Nowadays the only advice I have is that whatever you do in bed, put your heart and soul into it. Although I mentioned the Alka-Seltzer trick in an interview once... Basically, once a girl is moist, you can put Alka-Seltzer in, and it starts fizzing. When it's just about to stat burning you have to put an ice cube inside - and that feeling, if it's done right, can make her orgasm. Or make her scream in agony!
Hmm, might keep those for hangover purposes only. We were talking about sex taboos in a features meating recently - your view?
(Laughs) Can I work in your office? Personally I think there is nowhere that shouldn't be explored. Never say never. But I wouldn't expect Katie to do things that are kind of 'taboo' to please me and then I turn around and say no to something she wants to do to me. Anything goes when you are with someone.
You seem an open-minded type of guy - ever had a fumble with a fella?
I haven't. But I nearly snogged Russell Brand! He's the first man to have ever kissed me, actually. And it was on TV! We were supposed to be acting something out but there was a bit of open mouth involved.
Did you get a bit of the Brand tongue?
There was a little bit. And I said to him after 'mate, I'm going to have to go home and dwell on this and think whether I actually enjoyed it or not. I'm not sure'. And he said 'well you should know by now!' But I didn't. So there might have been a curious moment with Russell Brand, that's as far as it's been with me and a man!
You used to have a Lothario rep - are you faithful these days?
In the past I was like 'it's only a relationship, it's only a girlfriend' which is a selfish thing to think. From the second I've been with Kate I've been faithful - I've only been engaged once and I've only been married once. Once you make a commitment like that you have to think 'I've got to be a one-woman man'. And that's all I want to be.
Anyone ever cheated on you in the past?
Yeah. It was awful and it felt like shit. But I did think it was karma for the bad things I did.
Let's talk surgery...would you disapprove if Katie wanted to get anything else done?
I can't stop her! And I wouldn't. But I'd let her know what I thought. I think everyone has to know how far they can push things. I'd always tell her if I didn't agree with it.
Obviously she's renowned for her amazing body - but would you like a bit more meat on dem bones?
I adore my wife's body
- but if she asked me honestly, I'd love her to put more weight on. Not because she's too skinny but because I prefer a bit of meat on a lady. Put it this way, when Katie is slightly more filled out - which does happen sometimes - that's when I like it most. She can't believe how damn sexy I fnd her being pregnant! It's just because there's more to her.
She's really teeny-tiny, isn't she?
Yeah but she can eat, so don't worry about that! And she's not over 30 yet. Someone said that to me, 'when you're 30, your physique will change' and I said 'not a chance'. But it bloody did!
What confuses you most about the female of the species?
Ok, I understand this whole menstrual thing. Well, I try to. But what confuses me most is that everyone tells you only five days out of the month that are bad. That's bullshit! There's pre-period - the week before - shocking. The week of - shocking. And then post-mentrual - shocking. So I think there are only five days that are good each month. But you know, this is something blokes will never understand because we don't go through it.
Do you have pet names for Katie's boobs?
No, not really. They're just my babies!
What about nicknames for each other?
First we had Bostick - you know, the glue? Because we were stuck together so much. Then I called her Bungelina and she called me Bungle. Now it's Blue Balls when I'm not getting it very often!
Well, Pete, that's why God gave you two good hands...

| Interview from Star Magazine, Issue 101, October 2005 |
| |
Peter Andre clearly has his hands full. As our interview gets underway, his four month old son Junior starts crying. Then three year old Harvey starts up.
But while life has been hectic for Pete since he and 27 year old glamour model Jordan tied the knot in September, he's loving every minute of married life.
When Peter, 32, first met his bride to be on IACGMOOH 18 months ago, no one thought it would last. But the pair have proved everyone wrong and have been enjoying playing happy families in Jordan and Peter: Marriage and Mayhem.
With the series set to be aired on ITV1, we decided to grill Pete... |
| |
How's it feel to be married? Amazing. It's that feeling of completeness. The minute you've done it, you feel right. |
| |
Katie says that when she was young she dreamt of marrying you I reckon she's bullsh*tting! It's funny because the way she looked at that time with her dark curly hair, she was exactly the sort of girl I would have gone for. |
| |
But you hadn't heard of her before the jungle? I saw a picture of her two days before. She was doing one of her t*ts out poses and I thought: 'I'd better stay away from her'. |
| |
But you didn't! When I saw her on that first day in the jungle with braids in her hair and her green eyes, it was instant. I tried to do everything not to like her. But I knew straight away. |
| |
When did you know you wanted to marry her? After our first night together she looked at me and said: 'Please, Pete, if this is to work we have to be together every single night.' For someone to say that to me, I knew they must be serious. |
| |
How's fatherhood? It's the most beautiful thing in the world. It's not something I'd want to do all the time, but I love the experience. |
| |
Er, but kids aren't just for Christmas! So how's Harvey doing anyway? We have to keep an eye on him all the time. But he's one hell of a character. He's like little Arnold from Diff'rent Strokes! |
| |
Katie has mentioned how he can be hard to deal with. How do you cope with him? I'm stern, but I think I'm fair. If he throws a tantrum and he's just doing it for attention, then he's not getting his way. I want him to grow up to respect his family. |
| |
Are you tougher on him than Katie is? Yes, but I also give him a lot of love. I'm like: 'Quick, give me a hug. Quick, give me a kiss.' And when his mum is having a go at me, I make Harvey say, 'Whatever, Mum', and she can't be angry anymore. |
| |
Does he get on well with baby Junior? He shows jealousy but also a lot of affection. If you put a baby or an animal in front of Harvey, he usually goes nuts, but with Junior he is different. He seems to know that Junior is related to him. |
| |
Who picked Junior's name? We didn't want Apples or Pears. I wanted to name him after my dad, Savva, but Kate didn't really want it as a first name. I also wanted to call him Mini-Me, but in the end Kate suggested Junior and we both loved it. |
| |
Are you a househusband now? You must be very domesticated these days... Yes, I have been these past two days. I'm here all the time with the kids, as Katie's out at work quite a bit, but then she's here at the weekends - we always make sure we all get together, though. I have a studio here, so I just stay in, writing song after song. |
| |
Any exciting new projects on the horizon? I've had quite a lot of TV offers recently, which is great. It's much easier than touring the country and slogging it out in nightclubs, but I still love my music. |
| |
What's coming up? Katie and I will be doing our own TV show together. And it's not a documentary this time. |
| |
Wow! A talkshow then, like Richard and Judy? I love them, but it'll be more aimed at what we like. With more music. But I can't say anymore about it at the moment. |
| |
So you'll be together even more! Do you argue a lot? Yes - but it's just bickering. We've never had an argument that hasn't been sorted out within half an hour or an hour. |
| |
What do you argue about? Mostly about our past. Someone will pop up on TV who I've been with or she's been with, and then it starts. And it goes on and on... |
| |
Who wears the trousers? Katie will say, 'Shut up, Pete' on the TV, but never at home. We call each other everything jokingly, but seriously we would never disrespect each other. |
| |
[Peter pauses because he hears a knock at the door] I swear this house is haunted! We're surrounded by gates and security cameras but I've just heard full-on knocking at the door and there's no one there! |
| |
Spooky! So Pete, Kate says she wouldn't have you back if you cheated on her... But does she really think I'd stay with her if she cheated on me? If she ever cheated on me, I'd have to leave and move overseas. |
| |
But that's unlikely, right? I would like to think that neither of us would wreck this beautiful thing. We've got children, so you don't want to mess things up. Plus, I've got some really beautiful caviar at home - I ain't planning on going to a restaurant for it. |
| |
Are you ever embarrassed when Katie is Jordan? Kate knows her job and that's why she's successful. If she gave me reason to not trust her, it would be a completely different matter, but because she doesn't, I don't mind.
And contrary to what she says, I like her having a few drinks because it relaxes her. What I don't like is when she gets p*ssed because she becomes a different person - that reminds me of her past, which I don't really want to be reminded of. |
| |
The two of you don't go clubbing any more. What's a typical night for you? We sit at home and watch crap TV shows - I'll do an audition for The X Factor and she'll be the judge - or we'll cook a meal for friends. We try to have an hour on our own when it's just the two of us. It's kind of mad until about 10pm. Then i say, 'Can we go upstairs?', and she'll say, 'Yeah, but my back.... my head...' |
| |
So you're not in bed 24/7? No, but we're adventurous! We're not just bedroom people. There's a lot of land here - trampolines and all.... |

| Interview from Bent magazine (a gay magazine) by Chris Amos. Oct 2004 |
| |
| Peter Andre was just another washed up pop act until a sexy star turn on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! and a sizzling romance with co-star, Jordan, propelled him back into the limelight earlier this year. |
| |
| Subsequently a campaign by Radio 1 Breakfast Show DJ, Chris Moyles, saw Mysterious Girl re-released, going straight to number one! This was followed by the jungle catch word hit song Insania which peaked at number 3 on the charts. The return of the guy with the fab abs was complete. But the question on everyones lips is - can it last? |
| |
When are you going to play G-A-Y?
Basically everybody knows that I love doing Pride or Big Gay Out or whatever it's called. I've always performed at gay venues and I have a lot of gay friends. It just *issed me off that Jeremy Joseph made some smart arsed comments, ' I wouldn't even have him performing in my toilet' and all that kind of stuff. Basically my message is, Jeremy you're the loser because at the end of it all, I don't want to go to G-A-Y only because of him and the comments he's made about me. I'll perform at any gay club, I'll be more than happy to perform for my gay fans and friends, anywhere except G-A-Y. I was always so good to him and he just started being so mean to me. |
| |
How much money would it take to get you to pose naked?
I've done it before for nothing. Okay, now I'd have to charge because I'm 31 years old and I don't look as good as I used to. It was fun to do, but now I'd be like, you'd have to pay me for that. I did an Australian magazine called Black & White and I was naked. It was some of the best shots I've ever had actually. But it was about eight or nine years ago. If i did it now there would have to be a nice reason to do it. |
| |
On I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, Jordan told the world you had an acorn, what does she call it now?
A schlonger...no that's the aussie term, she calls it an 'oak'. Okay I'm not massive but I'm certainly not small and she started that stupid rumour for nothing. thank God the nation saw it wasn't an acorn. |
| |
Yeah it gets lots of column inches....
She can call it whatever she wants as long as she's with it. |
| |
Do you spend a lot of time with Harvey?
Yeah I do, I love that kid, when I first met Katie we didn't know if it was going to work outwith us and I stayed away from Harvey because I didn't want to get too attached, and I thought that would be terrible if taht didn't wrok out with me and Katie. But it didn't take me more than four days of spending time with him, I just totally fell in love with him, and sometimes I say to Kate I don't know who I love more. He is just so adorable. he's a great kid. |
| |
Does Dwight get jealous?
I met Dwight, Dwight's alright. That rhymes! His words were that he doesn't really care about Kate, he just cares about the child and I said 'you know mate I have nothing but respect for that'. I don't get involved in his and Kate's problems. |
| |
Now that you're back in the spotlight are you likely to hold onto it longer?
I understand it better this time and I know how fickle it is and it could just end tomorrow. I don't know what's going to happen, it's up to the public really. It always was. |
| |
What mistakes did you make last time around, that you can learn from this time?
Definitely I took it too serious last time; my priorities were all over the place. I didn't have a personal life - I just didn't think it was possible. And you start getting so caught up in the hype that you forget reality. With all my schedules and hype and whatever; as long as I can say 'I'm going home at the end of the day' and just relax and watch TV or whatever, then that's waht I need. I need that reality. |
| |
You work the crowds really well, do you ever get heckled and how do you handle this?
That's when I perform to them the most - I love it. Some joker sticks his finger up and I'll stop the show, and say 'everybody look at this *anker' and they'll all stare so he feels so small. He'll feel like an acorn! It's alright that not everyone's going to like you, probably in ratio as many people are not going to like you as do like you. But it always only ever seems to eb the one who lets you know how he feels. But I like saying 'this song's just for you mate, sing along'. Just to embarrass them. |
| |
Do you get hit on by gay folk and how do you handle those sort of come-ons?
To me it's flattering for anyone to come onto you no matter what sex they are. You always want to know that you're accepted. To me it makes no difference who's coming onto you. Obviously I'm with Katie and I care about her most of all, but I still find it flattering. |
| |
What's the most Insania thing you've heard about yourself?
Probably that I've had plastic chest implants. Which is kind of flattering because they've thought I was alright enough to have had that. I've heard about people saying I've had abs implants. I just think 'God mate, I hope one day they give us cock implants', I could go for another couple of inches of course. |
| |
Is it true you went out with Mel B?
Yes, but it was so secretive. That was really sad looking back at it. I must have liked her more that she liked me. |
| |
How long did you date for?
Between six to nine months but I've got to say now that I'm with Katie the feelings don't even compare. I think it was just a whole different feeling. We did everything so secretly. She would come through the car park to the hotel and I'd have to take detours to get there. This was when she was in the Spice Girls and we were never seen in public. It was really uncomfortable. She was a great girl, I've got nothing bad to say about her at all but there is no comparison to what I feel for Katie. |
| |
You've been on Bo Selecta?
Yeah I was interviewed by Avid Merrion. There was a big picture of Kylie on the floor, and he said, 'let's go and sit on Kylie's face', so we did and then he started humping my leg. I don't know what he put there but he started getting a hard-on. And he said 'Oh I can't help it, I can't help it'. I don't know whether it was for real or he put something down there. It was so funny though. |
| |
Has anyone offered you and Jordan any money to do a duet together?
There's been loads of talk about it but no one's actually offered any money to do it. I'm up for anything. |
| |
I met Jordan last year and her manager at the time said she might be putting together a dance album or something?
I think she should and I think she'd be really good. She's got a strong voice; she makes me sound like a girl. She has said that if she ever does anything musical she wants me to write for her. I really love writing pop - so why not? |
| |
Tell me about your latest music release...
The video is beautiful, it's black and white, it's a very old time Motown style song. It's the first time I can say I'm releasing a really credible song. It's mid tempo. The video is very well shot. It's called Loved You The Right Way. |
| |
Have you written a song about Jordan?
On the album there's a song called All Time Girl. It's good. The chorus says 'It doesn't matter what people have to say because in my mind you're my all time girl'. |
| |
Do you think you'll release that one as a single?
Maybe, but it was too predicatable to release that song straight away because that's the one about Katie. |
| |
Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton have found fame and fortune from sex videos - is there a Jordan and Peter Andre one in the works?
If it were ever to be done it can't be tacky. There's this director who makes really classy sex videos and it's just soft music, no talking. The cinematography is amazing. I've forgotten his name. It would have to be like that. I'd love to do it but not yet. I think people would probably throw up at the moment. Eventually - why not? It could be good. |
| |
You are a very postive guy; do you have a motto that you live by?
Probably just 'never say never'. I might have said that about Jeremy Joseph but I never said 'never'. I just said I don't want to. You should never say a definite no; you should always try new things. |
| |
|
| |
Interview with Popworld (www.popworld.co.uk)
|
|
Popworld: Your relationship with Katie is in the newpapers quite a lot. Does that make things difficult?
Peter: In some ways I think it makes things a bit easier - you're less likely to stuff it up. You think
twice about a lot of things. We have a very private side to our relationship. You only give what you
want to give to the outside world. It's amazing what the media know and what they don't. I love it. I
love how they get things wrong. It's kinda cute.
Are you a romantic kind of guy?
I'd like to think I am. i try not to be too soppy. I try to suss out what the other person would like. I'll do it subtly and see what they like, whether it's a bunch of flowers or something else. |
|
| |
Are you a romantic kind of guy?
I'd like to think I am. i try not to be too soppy. I try to suss out what the other person would like. I'll do it subtly and see what they like, whether it's a bunch of flowers or something else. |
| |
How romantic are you and Katie together?
She's not as materialistic as she may appear. She's not at all. She's so content with living and I'm fascinated by that. I was shocked because to the public she comes across as being really materialistic
but she's not. |
| |
Have you seen any bad press about the two of you?
Not really. The press have been really good to me. They take the p*** every now and then but that's Ok. Sometimes they can get the wrong handle on things. Like a while ago I was singing to Katie on stage and
she was wearing a really short skirt. I was trying to make sure she was covered up but it got turned into me trying to pull her skirt up. Weird. |
| |
How do you get on with Katie's son, Harvey?
I love him. You know how he knows it's me? He grabs hold of my neck chain and feels it. He knows its me because he smiles. I tried not to get attached but what could I do? It happened straight away, after two or three weeks. I can't wait until he's older and I can take him fishing and we're just sat on a boat talking. |
| |
Do you think loving yourself is the greatest love of all?
You know what, if you love yourself the right way, honest to God, you'll be the happiest person on earth. There's the vain and arrogant way of loving yourself but there's the other one where you just love life. You know, I love getting up, having a coffee and seeing my mates. When you can do what you want then you're starting to love yourself. You know who you are and what you want and you're ready for anything. I reckon over the past two years I've found myself. |

Peter Andre - not so mysterious now! - Interview by Helen Otter
Fresh from the Australian jungle, Peter Andre drove the crowds Insania at this summer's Pop Stars in the Park concert in Brean.
I caught up with the mysterious boy himself just before he went on stage, where he had a special message for all his Somerset fans... |
|
| |
BBC: What have you been up to lately?
Peter Andre: I've just got back from a holiday with Katie in the Maldives. I had a great time; it's an amazing place. I was on tour before that and I'm about to go on tour again. I'm also promoting my new single, Love You the Right Way. It's a Motown song and very soulful. I wrote the lyrics and melody, and I think it's my most credible song to date. I'm really proud of it. It's also got a great video which is filmed in black and white - watch out for the surprise in it! |
| |
BBC: You took a break from the music scene for a while. How does it feel to be back?
Peter: Unbelievable! And bizarre as I didn't expect such warmth from the British public. I'm just really enjoying it all. |
| |
BBC: How do you feel about the success of Mysterious Girl this time around?
Peter: It's amazing. What's even better than the single going to Number 1 is that the proceeds of the song went to the NSPCC so we raised a lot of money for charity which meant a lot to me. |
| |
BBC: Have you been to Somerset before?
Peter: I've been once to do a concert but that was quite a while ago. Unfortunately I've got to leave straight after the concert so I won't get chance to look around this time. I love the South West, it's really beautiful here. So I'd love to come back again soon if Somerset will have me! |
| |
BBC: What are you most looking forward to about playing in Somerset at Brean Leisure Park?
Peter: I'm going to bring one person up on stage tonight and sing a song with them from my new album. I hope they're prepared for it as we're going to sing it together! I'll be doing a few of my old songs and also some songs from people that I'm inspired by such as The Eagles and Jackson Five. |
| |
BBC: What do you think of the competition we ran where we asked people to write in and tell us where they'd take you in Somerset?
Peter: I thought it was great - and I'm definitely up for being shown around the county! |
| |
BBC: What's next for you?
Peter: I'm touring again in January 2005 and also promoting the new album. I'm planning to buy a house in the UK too. I'm not sure where yet but it will be somewhere out in the countryside. |
| |
BBC: Do you have any exclusives to reveal to your Somerset fans?
Peter: Johnny Rotten didn't brush his teeth once while he was in the jungle! |

Peter Andre Q and A from The Observer
|
|
Favourite Film: Kill Bill. I love Quentin Tarantino. His films are horrifically violent but the characters just cut off in the middle of a fight for a coffee and then start up again. It makes it very funny. |
|
| Books: The last book I read was 'The Summons' by John Grisham. His first book, 'A Time to Kill', made me want to be a lawyer. I like the idea of manipulating the legal system. Also Dave Pelzer's 'A Child Called It'. It's what made me decide to pick the NSPCC as my charity for 'I'm a Celebrity...' |
| |
| Music: I'm a big Stevie Wonder fan and I love all the Motown artists: Luther Vandross, George Benson, Smokey Robinson, early Michael Jackson. I've also covered 'Ooh La La' by Kool and the Gang on my next album. |

| Theatre: I went to see the 'Lion King' but my seats weren't great. My favourite of all time is 'Miss Saigon'. |
| |
| Websites: The last thing I looked up on the web was about dangerous spiders. I discovered The Brown Recluse is the most dangerous in the world, not the Funnel Web. |
| |
| Guilty Pleasure: I'm a gangster freak: Italian Mafia films, 'Scar Face', 'Carlito's Way', 'Goodfellas'. I love it. |
