Here's what happened in Nottingham last night:
The concert was unbelievable, the atmosphere was one of the best I've been to, the crowd was on their feet from start to finish, the place was rocking, lots of singing and dancing going on, the crowd was rowdy but in a nice way.... the support acts was first a girl duo from Australia called Shakaya and they are friends of Peter's. They were ok if you could hear them for the noise, lots of kids had bought whistles which made hearing them difficult. This act were a R+B/ Rap type of thing, the second act were a rock band which weren't too bad. They were called Twen2y 4 Se7en. |
Peter started the show with Flava. He was wearing a red sporty type vest and white trousers, he looked pretty nice. He then sings Party All Night, Oooh La La La, Feel For You, All Cried Out and All About Us which was dedicated to girlfriend Katie Price (Jordan).
At one point Peter's microphone cut out and a sound man had to come and fix it. This chap came on and started messing around his bum, it was quite funny as Peter said to him: 'mind my bum, don't touch it!' |
Then came You Got Me Thinking, then Never Gonna Give You Up, at this song Peter asked if we had bought the new album yet and did we know the words because he wanted a girl on stage to sing to and she had to sing the chorus to him? The girl who was chosen did it very well.
At one point Peter grabbed her by the hand, took her to one side of the stage were she did a dance for him, then the girl got a little cheeky and started to gyrate very close behind Peter's back, it looked very erotic to the amusement of the crowd! |
| Next came a song from the Eagles - Hotel California, which he did with his brother Chris, who also plays in the band. Chris does a very good acoustic guitar solo in this. |
| Then came Lonely and Natural. In Natural he changes clothes again, into a silver top and trouser set, he does some great dancing in this song and he's great to watch. He's so fit! |
| A Michael Jackson song came next called Shake Your Body (down to the ground). It it was a very up-beat and funky song, really good to dance to. |
| Peter then changed again into yellow t-shirt and jeans. He then did Untouchable, Mysterious Girl and then the last song insania. Peter at the end says to the crowd I've got a secret to tell you and comes out wearing his bush hat and red waist coat he wore in the jungle. he tells a story what happened in the jungle but the crowd was too noisy and I couldn't make-out what he said. |
Then he thanks the crowd for the warm reception we gave him, talked about the press critics and said he hopes the fans will support him in the future.
Then it was farewell and good night!!
Thanks Peter for a lovely evening xxxx |

Jessica age 13
I went to see Peter Andre at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham last night, I was so excited. I was desperate to hear his new songs as I really liked "Mysterious Girl". I first heard of Peter Andre when he was on the TV in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. He came across as a funny but very sensitive person, so I was interested to see what he would be like in concert. He's always in the magazines I read, usually with his girlfriend Jordan.
I expected him to be very athletic and do lots of dancing and jumping around like some of the other boy bands I've seen and I wasn't disappointed. He had loads of energy, his dancing was excellent. He sang a variety of songs some I'd heard of but most I hadn't, they were quite slow as well which was a little disappointing.
When we arrived I was quite surprised at how old some of the people in the audience were. Some even looked older than my mum, who I went with. Most of them though were teeny boppers - around 10 years old.
From the moment he walked on stage people where out of their seats (on them in some cases) dancing and having a great time . All in all Peter Andre was OK not great but I've seen worse, usually on holiday!. Oh and by the way Peter's girlfriend Jordan AKA Katie Price was sitting at the end of my row! Well I think it was her, if you're reading this Jordan let us know. |

Jessica's Mum age thirty something
When my daughter asked if I could take her to see Peter Andre in concert I had visions of screaming teeny boppers. Like most people of my age I suspect, memories of Peter Andre before I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here are very sketchy… I seem to recall a perfect six pack and a video of him dancing on the beach or under a waterfall????
I like many others was glued to I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and was intrigued to see the inventor of the word Insania performing live.
We arrived in plenty of time and with the rest of the crowd hung around outside, I didn't see anyone over 18 which only confirmed what I'd expected especially as no one else seemed to be gob-smacked at the price of a t- shirt £15 programme £8.
Well onto the show. Peter's performance was nothing more than I'd expected really, a parade of catchy songs from his new album and a bizarre mix of oldies (for the mums in the audience) including Hotel California and The Jackson's hit Shake Your Body Down to the ground.
The audience which mainly sat in the 7 to 13 bracket seemed to thoroughly enjoy the show. As soon as Peter walked on stage an ignorant few at the front climbed onto their seats, making it impossible for many to see Peter, me and Jessica included.
Along with constant blowing of trumpets and whistles meant I found it difficult to hear the star of the show never mind reviewing his performance. What I did see wasn't bad, he CAN at least sing! He certainly managed to excite the crowd and kept the pace going throughout the performance although the support band 24/7 had done an excellent job beforehand.
Not a bad night Peter, nice pecks and a lot of energy! |
