Peter James Andréa was born in London, England on Tuesday 27th February, 1973 at the Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow. Born to Greek Cypriot parents Savvas and Thea, Peter shared the family home with his four brothers (Andrew, Chris, Danny, Michael) and his sister (Debbie). Peter is the youngest member of the Andre family and his star sign is Pisces.

Whilst living in London Peter attended Sudbury Junior School.
 

At the age of six, Peter's parents emigrated to Australia and made their home on Queensland's Gold Coast. He and his siblings attended Benowa High School.

He composed his first song at age 13 with his brother Chris, this song was "Dream A Little", which later appeared on his first album.

At the age of 16, Peter entered Australia's TV talent show called "New Faces" which aired on April 18th 1990.

He performed Bobby Brown's "Don't be Cruel". Not only did he win but one of the judges, Molly Meldrum offered him a recording contract live on air.He then went on to achieve his first Top 5 Australian single with "Gimme Little Sign" at the age of 19 and received numerous national awards for outstanding musical achievements.
