Jumpin' Jaks - 8th December 2005 |
| |
| A report and photos from Debbie Plunton. |

Well what an amazing evening it was. My eldest son had told me that he had a surprise for me for Christmas. He told me to get ready for an evening out at a night club and that one of my friends would be going along too. |
| |
It wasn’t until we were ready to leave that he told me he had bought me tickets to go to Jumpin’ Jaks in Southampton to see Peter Andre. It was such a shock because I had no idea Peter was performing in Southampton. |
| |
| We arrived at Jumpin’ Jaks in good time and sat down at one of the tables around the dance floor. Gradually the dance floor started to fill up so we decided to make our way to the stage so that we could get a good position.
. It was pretty packed already but we managed to secure a place on the right hand side of the stage, right at the front. It was great that there were no barriers to keep us away from the stage. |

At around 11 pm, a security person told us that Peter had arrived and was in the building. I got my camera ready but was told that no cameras were allowed. I was very disappointed by this and asked why. “Peter Andre copyright” I was told. I explained that I have never been told that I can’t take photo’s before and then showed him a photo that I had taken of Peter at another venue. He said that he would check it out and then confirmed that it would be OK after all. |
| |
| At about 11.20 pm the security guard whispered to me that Peter would be entering the stage right next to me, but not to say anything to anyone else because he didn’t want everyone rushing over. So at about 11.30 pm Peter made his entrance onto the stage to a very excited audience. |
| |
Peter began by singing 'Ooh La La La'. He was wearing a white tracksuit with a black tee shirt and he apologised to everyone because he hadn’t changed, but he looked great in it.
He went on to sing a few more songs including 'G'o with hints of 'Flava' here and there, and 'Mysterious Girl', which always goes down well with the crowds.
Everyone was singing and dancing and having a great time. He sang and performed brilliantly and received a great response from the audience. |

What made my evening even more special was that Peter recognised me and came over while on stage and spoke to me, held my hand and asked me how I was doing. My friend was very impressed. |
| |
As he left the stage, he caught hold of my hand again.
It was a fantastic evening and I believe Peter gained even more fans after his excellent performance. |
